Madhu Vasant offers to few lucky residents, a rare gift in the dense suburb of Vile Parle, the gift of the earth, trees and the sky. The building envelops a large private on-ground garden, thoughtfully landscaped to fulfil the needs of all its residents, from toddlers to senior citizens. For the more active, a private gymnasium overlooks this green space.
MadhuVasant is a small redevelopment project in Vile Parle, Mumbai. The project is complex because of the various differing requirements of the rehoused tenants, making the floor plans non-typical. To unify the building, the elevation is a grid of 700 x 700, into which, windows, grills etc are combined to create an interesting checkerboard pattern.
