An international IT and News office wanted to design its Indian Offices in New Delhi, Mumbai and Pune based on the its international standards and philosophy of flat hierarchies and transparency. The design response in each location was to create a central large open office space with glass enclosed conference rooms. There are no private offices. The firms egalitarian approach is further highlighted by locating the pantry, a space where employees can mingle, right at the entrance instead of relegating it to a back corner.
Additionally, each office has a special design element reflecting the cultural significance of the location.
A large pink mirrored glass wall with a traditional Jaali pattern, inspired by the stone of the historic fort nearby forms the backdrop and visual anchor for the entire space- for the office space in Delhi.
