The Morningstar project involved the refurbishment of an existing office space for the investment research and management firm which sought to increase its working capacity. The MNC has a set of design standards described in “Kit of Parts” for all its offices worldwide, developed by London-based Allen Architecture Interiors Design (AAID).
Connect Four and AAID collaboratively strategised to realize a two-pronged objective minimal alteration and better spaces whilst keeping the prescribed standards firmly in focus. Only a part of the floor plate had to be demolished to house a large reception, a well-equipped training room and cafeteria. For the workstation area, retaining the required number of stations and creating huddle spaces at regular intervals became the central idea. Visual vibrancy was introduced through bright-coloured wall expanses.
